BELIEFS AND
VISION
As
a result of years on the “highway” ministering to men and woman on
motorcycles and bikes, we found most were not ready to attend a traditional
church, so in God’s timing “Church on the Highway” was birthed in July
1994. These “precious” people
(beauty is in the eye of the beholder) would not ordinarily attend traditional
church services because of their lifestyles.
We offer them church services at their rallies and events free from
"condemnation" and filled with "love and understanding".
As we continue to ride the open roads and minister the Gospel of Jesus,
our Blessed Hope, to the nation of “Twowheelia” we also minister on a
regular basis to a committed group of Christians riders who support this
vision at local rallies.
We
believe:

Jesus is the
only way to Heaven through Godly repentance and confession of sin
·
In a
“Believer’s Baptism” by immersion in water
·
The enduing
of spiritual power through the Holy Spirit
·
The laying
on of hands for healing through the Name of Jesus
·
Deliverance
from demonic influence through the Name of Jesus
·
The
fellowship of the saints
·
The
“second coming” of Jesus for His saints.
·
We teach the
Word of God as it was inspired and written by the Spirit of God.
·
We are
submitted to Godly New Testament authority.
Our
local outreach has a membership of all ages and economical differences, but our
vision is shared by all. We are
available to pray for the sick, heal the broken hearted, give a hand to the
poor, deliverance to captives and love to all.
Along
with our meetings to enrich, encourage, train, and prepare others to reach out
to motorcyclists and bikers, we offer our experience to other churches and
ministries with this same vision. We
are available for one day and weekend rallies.
Our future looks to establishing many churches with this same vision
throughout the states.
Pastor
George has been on national and local Christian television and radio talk shows.
He was also highlighted by “Inside Edition’s” coverage of the 1996
Bike Week segment. He may been seen
witnessing in and outside of bars, local parks, cow pastures, and the side of
the road. Pastor George has
“blessed” openings of motorcycle shops and Toy Runs for the local ABATE
chapters. Pastors George and Nancy
have been speakers at Christian Retreats “West Coast Motorcycle Rallies” and
Church Without Walls “Loyal Warriors Rallies”.
Pastors
George and Nancy’s desire is that all come to a saving knowledge of Jesus, be
endued with the Holy Spirit’s power and to send them back out on their
motorcycles and bikes to their roots and give others the “hope of their
calling”.
We are proud to have Pastors Michael and Angela Rodriguez come on board to help with this ministry. They are strong in the Lord and the power of His might. They have lived the Port Charlotte area for sometime and have ministered in youth, children and adult areas. Pastor Mike has a strong anointing to preach and is available to come to your churches and minister to your youth and young adults.
